It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog post on my website (or had a personal website at all), but I’m excited to say that I’m back with a new focus.
If you’ve ever read my blog in the past (BTW, it was in Spanish), you know that I love to write about movies, books, travel, and other personal experiences. However, as I’ve grown and evolved over the years, I’ve realized that there are a few additional topics that I want to start writing about: mental health and parenting.
Let’s start with mental health. As someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression for most of my life (but only diagnosed 3 years ago), I know how important it is to talk about these issues openly and honestly. Mental health affects all of us in one way or another, whether our struggles or those of someone we love. And yet, despite its prevalence, mental health is still stigmatized and often shrouded in secrecy.
I believe that by sharing my own experiences and offering resources and support, I can help break down some barriers that prevent people from seeking help for their mental health issues. Whether it’s tips on managing anxiety, advice on finding the right therapist, or just a place to vent and connect with others who understand, I want this to be a safe and supportive space for anyone who needs it.
And speaking of mental health, I’d also like to start writing about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As someone diagnosed with ADHD at 30 years old, I know firsthand the challenges of this condition. From difficulty with focus and attention to impulsiveness and hyperactivity, ADHD can make everyday tasks feel like an uphill battle. But despite its challenges, ADHD also comes with unique strengths and talents. I want to write about the realities of living with ADHD, its challenges, and how it can also be a source of creativity and success. By sharing my own experiences and offering resources and support, I hope to help others who may be struggling with ADHD and to create a space where this often misunderstood condition can be openly discussed and celebrated.
Next, let’s talk about parenting. I became a parent almost seven ago, and it has been the biggest and most rewarding challenge of my life. I’ve always loved talking and writing about my personal experiences, and parenting has given me much to write about! So, it is time for me to start sharing! From the joys and triumphs to the struggles and sleepless nights, I want to share my journey as a parent with all of you.
I also know that parenting can be a lonely and overwhelming experience, especially for parents like myself who don’t have family around to provide them with a break. That’s why I want to start writing (and potentially a podcast) where we can all share our experiences, ask for advice, and support each other through the ups and downs of this incredible journey. Whether you’re a seasoned parent or just starting out, we can all learn something from each other and help make this experience easier and more manageable.
Aside from this two new topics, I’ll still be writing about everything I love, like movies, books, and travel. But with the addition of mental health and parenting to my blog, I believe that I can create entertaining, informative, supportive, and empowering content.
So, here’s to new beginnings and new directions! I’m so excited to be back and to share my journey with all of you. I hope you’ll join me on this new adventure.
