This is my story on how I started dealing with self-sabotage.
One day, almost a year ago, I was closing some of the dozens of tabs I had open on Chrome (not rare) when I came across a tab containing the Amazon page for this book.
I’m going to be clear here, I did not see or hear about that book before, and more so, I did not open that tab myself. I could only understand it as a sign of the Universe. I needed to read that book, and I am glad I did.
For those who want it, “The Mountain Is You: Transforming Self-Sabotage Into Self-Mastery” by Brianna Wiest is a book that will change how you view yourself and how you interact with the world around you. This book was a game-changer for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stop fighting against themselves.
Brianna Wiest shows us numerous ways we (in general) self-sabotage ourselves and how to overcome standing in our own way. The author writes with clarity and honesty, and her words hit home in a way that few other books have done before. Of course, it’s nothing new, but it hits you right where you need it.
Throughout the book, Wiest explains that our thoughts and beliefs shape our reality, and it’s up to us to change them. First, she teaches us how to identify our self-sabotaging thoughts and ideas and then guides us through transforming them into self-empowering ones. This process is not easy, but the results are worth it.
One of the things that I loved about this book is how relatable it is. The author’s writing style is engaging and makes it feel like she is speaking directly to you. I agreed with her words and felt like I was not alone in my struggles.
The book is filled with practical exercises and tools that you can use to start changing your life today. So whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or just feeling stuck in life, this book has something to offer to you.
Overall, I would highly recommend Mountain Is You to anyone looking for a way to overcome their self-imposed limitations and live a life of peace and happiness. It’s a must-read for anyone who wants to take control of their life and start living it on their own terms. This can be a life-changing book that has the potential to shake up your life if you are ready for it. It made me start therapy, and I can’t be thankful enough for that.
